I am so glad to be crossing out the Philippines' PINK Beach from my bucket list.
December 2014, the day after Christmas, when I decided to invade Zamboanga City, luckily I have a friend who grew up there, - Patsy.
Good thing the weather cooperated with us and on 27th day of December her parents allowed us to visit the famous Sta. Cruz beach together with Patsy's friends.
We meet each other around 6:30 am at Plaza del Mar where the jump off point is.
We were advised that we will have an escort to get to the island for safety reasons.
As soon as we docked to the island, my eyes froze to the beach, It's so beautiful.
So I think, enough of the words, and feast with my proof! -photos :)
As you can see from my pictures, the island is NOT really pink instead, it's more of a powdery white untouched island.
Vinta on the island? |
But if you look a little closer,
Just a little closer, you will see this red corals that causes the beach to look like Pink in some angles. :) Amazing isn't it? ;)
We packed our food, we bought Chicken from a fast food chain, anyway some people there offer their freshly catch fish or crabs for a good price. Just make sure to pack your water.
Restroom is available but we decided to wash up in the city.
Sta. Cruz Island should be included in your bucketlist.
Just get yourself in Zamboanga,
then go to Plaze del Mar, the boat to the island is 1,000 pesos only good for 1-10 persons already, round trip.
They start as early as 7 am but make sure to be there early because they follow the first come, first serve rule.
Til' next time.....
Gracias Zamboanga!! <3
